field trips
Group visits to McKenna Children’s Museum are encouraged for school groups, daycares, and nonprofit organizations. To receive the group rate, your group must meet the following guidelines:
- Have a minimum of 10 children and a maximum of 120
- Pay for all or a majority of admissions in one check or credit card payment before or at the time of arrival
- Members of your group should arrive and enter the Children’s Museum together
- Play time is for two hours
- Members of your group should leave together
A snack or lunch area is available for $20 for groups of all sizes. Please inform us when you make the reservation if we can provide this.

Times
Tuesday through Friday, for a maximum of two hours.
Fees
Children and adult chaperones are $6.00 each for local public schools (NBISD & CISD) and $7.00 each for other public and private schools.
Chaperones
No more than one (1) adult for every five (5) students is suggested due to space limitations in the Museum. There is a fee of $25 for each missing chaperone.
Payments
Balance is due the day of your visit.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least one week in advance.
Summer Fieldtrips
We do not schedule fieldtrips during the summer months (June-August).
